Upper Tullow Street in Carlow Town
A councilor has expressed his concern over a delay until at least mid-October on resurfacing works on Upper Tullow Street as it is getting "closer and closer to Christmas".
Cllr Fintan Phelan said: "It is vitally important that the temporary surface is put down after the Irish Water works are done."
Irish Water works were due to be completed by mid-September however due to issues experienced relating to commissioning the new water mains and decommissioning the old water mains, works are now expected to be completed by mid-October.
Director of Services at Carlow County Council, Dan McInerney, said the resurfacing works will be done at night when Irish Water are finished.
