Gardaí investigating more garden shed burglaries in Carlow over the last few days

Carlow Gardaí have warned people that handling stolen property is a criminal offence

Gardaí in Carlow are investigating more garden shed burglaries in the district over the last few days. 

An incident in Oak Park, Carlow - reported on October 15 - saw a locked garden shed broken into and a Husqvarna leafblower and a Husqvarna chainsaw being taken. 

A second incident reported on October 16 - which occurred between October 5 and 12 - saw a shed entered on a private house in Oak Park and a Robin hedge strimmer, red in colour, was stolen. 

Gardaí have issued crime prevention advice and an appeal to people for information. They also said people must buy equipment from reliable sources.

They warned that anyone in possession of stolen property is guilty of an offence of possession and liable to prosecution.
