A councillor has called for a "big hit on potholes" between now and the end of the month in Carlow.

Speaking at this month's meeting of Carlow Municipal District, Cllr Brian O'Donoghue said while the roads generally are in good condition, the potholes that are there seem to be fairly big.

He highlighted areas like Woodgrove Avenue, Rathvilly and Knockroe where there are potholes that need to be addressed coming into the winter months.
