Carlow GAA apply for planning permission at Centre of Excellence training facility

The proposal has a development address at Lumcloon, Fenagh

Carlow GAA have sought planning permission for the construction of a new 1048m2 single storey at its Centre of Excellence training facility. 

The proposal will include six changing rooms, wash rooms and shower facilities, referee facilities, administration offices, plant room and all associated site works, car parking and bus parking provisions.

There will also be new fencing and turnstiles to existing car park. 

The development is at Lumcloon, Fenagh and Carlow County Council are expected to make a decision on the application by December 9. 

The application was received on October 15. 

The proposed development would be served via an existing site entrance and waste water facility as constructed under the Centre of Excellence planning permission granted in 2010.

This included the construction of five full size floodlight GAA pitches, a two storey dressing room complex, a single storey maintenance building with mezzanine level, a new site entrance with ghost island turning lane, wastewater treatment system and percolation area, stormwater attenuation, internal roadways, car parking, site fencing and all associated site works.
