Two cars broken into in Carlow over last few days as Gardaí issue crime prevention advice

Gardaí have issued crime prevention advice

Two cars were broken into on Sunday night into Monday morning in Carlow, Gardaí have confirmed. 

The first incident occurred at Woodgrove on the Tullow Road at approximately 11pm. A witness described the offender as a male, wearing a dark coloured tracksuit with white stripes and a hood with fur. 

The second incident occurred at Dereen Heights, also on the Tullow Road, and it was discovered on Monday morning. 

Both cars were ransacked. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information can call Carlow Gardaí on 059 913 6620 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111. 

There has been an increase in thefts from vehicles across both Carlow and Kilkenny, Gardaí have said.

They advise that motorists take all valuables out if possible, ensure that any property left is hidden or placed in boot and to lock your vehicle.
