Looks like up to 15mm of rain could fall in Carlow on Friday
Friday in Carlow is looking stormy as the charts show strong gusts and heavy rain are likely, according to www.carlowweather.com.
Forecaster Alan O'Reilly said: "At present the winds look strong but not too severe with Yellow warnings likely in my opinion.
"There is a chance the gusts could reach Orange levels on high resolution charts as we get closer so keep an eye on forecasts over the coming days.
"If the high resolution charts do meet Orange levels and Met Éireann issue Orange level warnings then this system would be named Storm Deirdre but it’s wait and see for now."
He added: "The good news is the weekend is looking better with some sunny spells and not too much rain."
