Councillor pays tribute to Ann's great work over the last five years

Ann Mulrooney is leaving her role as chief executive and artistic director at VISUAL in Carlow, it has been confirmed. 

Since 2013, Ann and her team have delivered increases of 60% in gallery visitors, 275% in education participants and 22% in generated income.

In response to the news, chief executive of Carlow County Council, Kathleen Holohan, said: "Plans are being worked on, there will be an announcement shortly in terms of an interim arrangement."

Cllr John Pender said it was the first he had heard that Ann was leaving her role and paid tribute to the great work she has done over the last five years.
