A lovely gesture

A Carlow man gifted a Leinster jersey by Sean O'Brien - signed by the whole team - who put it up for auction for charities is appealing to bidders.

Martin McAndrew said: "I would like if it went for €1,000 and I could give €500 to the Kevin Bell Trust and the Charlie Curran Charity here in Carlow Town."

The jersey is currently selling for €600.

Martin said: "The closing date of the auction is the end of November, all money raised goes to the two different charities."
