One of the oldest tennis clubs in Ireland - Carlow Lawn Tennis Club - to celebrate 140 years

Did you know, Carlow Lawn Tennis Club is one of the oldest tennis clubs in Ireland?

This year marks the local club's 140th year and members are invited to help them blow out the candles at 3pm on December 1. 

Their two newly resurfaced tennis courts one and two will also be officially opened on the day.

The club said: "We are delighted to have both Pat Deering, TD and Richard Fahey, CEO Tennis Ireland join us. Come along for an hour and perhaps even enjoy a slice of birthday cake."
