Country music singer Pamela Gilmartin has penned a charity single for Carlow's Brandon Bolger.

In a post on Facebook, Pamela said: "Let me introduce you all to this amazing kind hearted little fighter Brandon Bolger and share with you his story. Brandon is 10 years old and has Ewing's sarcoma cancer.

"He is currently getting high doses of chemo every 14 days and at present is on his 10th round. Brandon came up with the idea of buying a tractor and painting it yellow for children's cancer awareness.

"He plans to travel all around Ireland to raise funds for all the children in St John's Ward Crumlin and buy gifts for them.

"Of course it was such a privilege when Brandon's dad Craig asked me to write a song about Brandon and his tractor.

"I've never wrote a song to be honest but for such a special friend and massive fan I put pen to paper and made my way to Harmony Recording Studios."
