Contract relates to the provision of waste and rubbish containers and bins

Carlow County Council has tendered a contract for the provision of services for waste collection, transportation and disposal for the local authority's Litter Management Programme.

The contract relates to the provision of waste and rubbish containers and bins and refuse and waste related services.

Earlier this year, Carlow County Council tendered a contract for the provision of services for waste collection, transportation and disposal at Powerstown Civic Amenity Site, Carlow.

The Powerstown landfill reached capacity and closed in 2018 and consequently the Council will now incur the cost of disposing of its own waste outside the county.

The civic amenity/recycling facility will continue at Powerstown on a trial basis.
