Driver tests positive for cocaine during Garda checkpoint on Dublin Road in Carlow

The motorist was arrested with court to follow.

Carlow Roads Policing Unit assisted by Superintendent Aidan Brennan conducted a Mandatory Intoxicant Testing Checkpoint on Tuesday at the Dublin Road, Carlow.

One driver tested positive for cocaine.

The motorist was arrested with court to follow.

Gardaí said: "Never drive while under influence of an intoxicant."
