Do you agree with Cllr Andy Gladney?

"It's like Treasure Island, lads are digging so many holes," Cllr Andy Gladney has hit out at road works in Bagenalstown.

Treasure Island is an adventure novel by Robert Louis Stevenson, narrating a tale of "buccaneers and buried gold".

Cllr Gladney was speaking at December's meeting of Bagenalstown Municipal District and was speaking in response to comments by Cllr Arthur McDonald who hit out at the use of a jackhammer by Irish Water late at night.

Cllr Gladney added: "The roads are destroyed. In the town, it would remind you of Treasure Island there are lads digging so many holes."
