A councillor has called on the local authority to a address dangerous junction in Bagenalstown over "near misses with old people coming from 10 o'clock mass".

Cllr Andy Gladney has said the crossing in front of the Bank of Ireland is "not a predestrian crossing but people think they can cross because there are stripes on the road".

"There have been near misses with old people coming from 10 o'clock mass," he added.

The local authority said they would look at addressing the issue in the roads budget.
