Carlow Roads Policing Unit detect motorists doing ridiculously high speeds as they issue appeal for motorists to slow down. 

Two drivers were detected doing speeds of 154km/h and 149km/h on Friday. 

Gardaí said: "Speed...the biggest contributing factor to road deaths in Ireland! For everyone’s sake slow down and allow everyone to arrive home safely this Christmas."
