A total of 28 social housing allocations were made in the Bagenalstown Municipal District area up to December of last year, councillors have been told.
A Housing Report provided to members of the MD has revealed that there were 28 allocations by the local authority while Tinteán Housing Association allocated ten houses at Barrett Street, Bagenalstown.
Proposed schemes to be put out to Part VIII this year include two units at Main Street in Borris and a further nine at Pound Lane.
Under the Housing Capital Construction programme a number of projects will get underway in 2019 and these include: 20 dwellings in Bagenalstown while a contract for four houses in Myshall has been tendered.
