Claire Kavanagh, RIP
Tributes have been paid to Claire Kavanagh of Milford, Carlow who died on Tuesday peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness at St Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin.
Sadly missed by her brother Michael, sisters Mary and Esther, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, great-grandnephews, great-grandniece, relatives and a large circle of friends including her many colleagues and friends in the GAA.
In a touching post on social media, Carlow Senior Football manager, Turlough O'Brien, said: "Shocking news about this lovely lady who looked after our footballers so well along with her dear friend Cora. A lovely glint in her eye, loved the craic! RIP Claire."
In a statement, Carlow GAA said: "Carlow GAA is in mourning following the passing of a deeply beloved member of our Stewarding Team, Claire Kavanagh. She will be hugely missed by all but remembered in our hearts forever.
"Sending our deepest condolences to her family and friends throughout the county."

Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home, Pollerton Castle, Carlow on Thursday from 2pm concluding with prayers at 8pm.
Funeral Mass on Friday at 12 noon in St Joseph’s Church, Tinryland. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
