Reaction: Councillor hits out at '20 craters, not potholes' on rural Carlow road

A councillor hit out at "20 craters, not potholes" on the Newtown Road outside Nurney that were allowed to develop on the road surface. 

Cllr Willie Quinn made the remarks at this month's meeting of Bagenalstown Municipal District and criticised the condition of the road surface from Nurney village into Newtown. 

Area engineer, Jerry Crowley, said the Council has two patching units out currently and Carlow Live understands that the potholes have since been filled in on the rural road.
