Conditional planning granted for Carlow GAA club's extensions which include a 'smoking area'

A series of extensions to be built

Ballinabranna GFC has been granted conditional planning permission by Carlow County Council to build an extension which includes a smoking area. 

The Carlow club's application sought permission for the following: a proposed extension (30msq) which will consist of a new main entrance, storage areas and referee's room to the front of the existing clubhouse.

Another proposed extension (54msq) will consist of w.c. facilities and a "smoking area to the side of the existing clubhouse".

They will also build an extension (41msq) which will consist of a gym to the rear of existing sports hall, proposed interior and exterior alterations, proposed signage to the southwest elevation, proposed 10m high ball stop netting with three supporting poles and all ancillary site works.
