Appeal for witnesses after collision between truck and pedestrian as Kennedy Avenue reopened

Carlow Gardaí have appealed for witnesses after a collision between a truck and a pedestrian on Wednesday evening. 

The incident occurred on Kennedy Avenue, close to Barrack Street, and the road was closed overnight for forensic collision investigators. 

Kennedy Avenue reopened at 10am on Thursday to traffic.  

A male pedestrian in his 40s was injured in the collision with the truck and he has been removed to hospital with serious injuries.
