Much colder air into next week with some frosty nights 'likely', says Carlow forecaster

Weather charts are showing a low pressure system tracking over Ireland Saturday night into Sunday with some strong winds for a time, according to

Forecaster Alan O'Reilly said: "Once that system clears Sunday it will pull in much colder air behind again with some frosty nights likely!

"Also outside the reliable timeframe and we have seen this a few times in recent weeks but a cold end to the month and start to February showing on some charts. Let’s wait and see."

Current indications suggest next week will be cold and rather unsettled. There will be frosty nights and occasional wintry showers.
