A councillor has raised the issue with the local authority

Incidents have been reported where temporary public lights erected during works on the Tullow footbridge have "dazzled drivers".

Cllr Will Paton raised the issue at this month's meeting of Carlow Municipal District when he mentioned that he had heard reports where the "lights were dazzling a few drivers".

Area engineer, Pat Harrington, said there is temporary public lighting in place and there were a few "legitimate" complaints about dazzling.

The Council, in consultation with the contractors, have looked to address the issue.
