A meeting is to be sought with National Directorate for Fire and Emergency Services over the future of Bagenalstown Fire Station following a structural report on the current condition of the facility.

A site survey discovered "many structural deficiencies" within the building.

The meeting will discuss whether the optimum course of action is the refurbishment of the exisiting station or a new build on another site.
