Museum success 'phenomenal'

Calls have been made for Paddywagon tour operators to bring tourists to Carlow Town off the back of the County Museum's success.

Cllr Fergal Browne made the comments after it was revealed that Carlow County Museum and Tourist Office had a remarkable 24,036 visitors last year.

He has asked if it would be possible "to try and get Paddywagon Tours into the place" and he also called for more "signs on Tullow Street" pointing people in the direction of the museum.

Cllr John Cassin has said the visitor numbers are "phenomenal".
