Got any ideas?

Communities in Carlow are being asked to come up with ideas for events to be held over the May Bank Holiday weekend May 4-6 which could be funded under the National Community Event Grant Scheme.

Events could be centred round food, sport, the environment or health and culture. Grants will be in the region of €200-€300 per event.

Organisers are encouraged to look within their community to see what resources/talents are available to help bring the whole community together.

Priority will be given to projects that reach out to those that are not already engaged in their communities; promoting accessibility; integration; social inclusion and environmental protection.

For an application form please contact me at willfpaton@gmail.com or the Community Section of Carlow County Council on 059-9136249.

Closing date for receipt of applications is March 7.
