The need for an online directory of health and wellbeing services was identified during a public consultation for the Healthy Carlow County Plan 2018-2021
Carlow Local Development Committee (LCDC) is calling on all Carlow-based clubs, groups, services and amenities that are health and wellbeing focused to submit their details for the Healthy Carlow "What’s On" online directory.
The need for an online directory of health and wellbeing services was identified during a public consultation for the Healthy Carlow County Plan 2018-2021.
The plan was developed by the LCDC and aims to improve health outcomes for the people of Carlow.
Margaret Nolan from Carlow LCDC encouraged all groups and services to submit their information.
She said: "During the consultation we learned that people were not aware of all the fantastic services, activities, clubs and groups available to them in Carlow.
"That’s why we’re working hard to create a comprehensive guide on the health and wellbeing services in Carlow.
"We’re asking everyone from sports clubs and support groups to parks, playgrounds and community groups to get involved, and complete the form for inclusion in the directory.
"Our aim is for Carlow to be a county where well-being is valued and supported at every level of society and is everyone’s responsibility, and the directory will be a great step in achieving this."
To submit your service for consideration, go to Carlow Community Facebook page to access the survey, or go to https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/healthyCarlow.
The deadline for submissions is Monday, March 11.
