Road works lasting up to five days will result in temporary closure of busy Carlow road

Roadworks will commence at 8am on Thursday, March 7 on the R726 Carlow - Rathvilly Road.

The works are expected to take 4-5 days to complete and will require the temporary closure of the road between Straboe cross -Ballyhacket cross.

Traffic will be diverted to McGrath cross along the R727 and N81.

Local access for only those living within the works area will be accommodated.

Carlow County Council apologises for any disruption caused.
