Carlow Tourism and Carlow's local authority have re-issued a tender for a contract to complete a "five-year tourism strategy" for the county.

In the initial request for tenders last year, bidders had until November 28, 2018 to make their application for the contract.

Now the Council have re-issued the exact same tender with a new expiry date for bids on March 19, 2019.

The tender again states that they have identified the need to "engage the services of suitably qualified professionals to complete a five-year tourism strategy for County Carlow to incorporate a marketing, experience and product development plan".

The strategy will cover the period 2019-2023.

Carlow County Council and Fáilte Ireland are key stakeholders.
