"It's the longest running saga in our history," councillor looks for answers on Carlow skatepark.

Cllr John Cassin brought the issue up at this month's meeting of the Carlow Municipal District and asked if it would be possible at the next MD meeting to get an update on the skatepark proposed for the Burrin Road in Carlow Town.

"It's the longest running saga in our history. We're heading into a Local Election and there's still no skatepark. It's laughable now, somebody needs to answer questions about why it's not there," he said.

Carlow Live reported in August of last year that only one company has applied for the contract to build the skatepark.
