Calls have been made for the local authority to look at their "piece of ground" in Tinryland for development.

Carlow County Council own a site of 1.81 hectares in the village.

Speaking at this month's full meeting of the local authority, Cllr Jim Deane said it's time for the Council to look at plans for the site and its development.

Director of Services, Michael Brennan, said the land is under the control of the Housing Agency and they recently sought expressions of interest for the site.
