Carlow Gardaí are investigating the incident
Carlow Gardaí have appealed for information after a man was left with a "deep gash to the top of his head" after an assault on Tullow Street in Carlow Town over the weekend.

The incident happened at 9.30pm on Saturday, March 16 when the injured party was assaulted and left with a deep gash to the top of his head and swelling on the right side of his face.
The perpetrator was not known to the injured party.
The victim was taken to St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny for treatment.
Anyone with information or anyone who have may have witnessed the assault is being asked to contact Carlow Gardaí on 059 - 913 6620.
