A local councillor has highlighted peculiar road signage in Myshall where motorists are advised to both "Yield" and to "Stop".

Cllr Will Paton said: "During my recent visit to the village of Myshall a number of residents pointed out conflicting signage at the junction next to the village pump."

The sign says "Yield" while the road marking says "Stop".

Cllr Paton added: "Which is correct? I have been in contact with the Acting Senior Roads Engineer and asked for the 'Yield' signage to be changed as soon as possible."
