Carlow Gardaí issue scam warning over bogus callers claiming to be from various companies

Phone scams are doing the rounds.

Carlow Gardaí say they continue to receive complaints regarding phone scams.

Bogus callers purporting to be from various companies including Revenue are ringing from a variety of numbers including 051 or 01 numbers.

Gardaí said: "These are scams, Hang up. If in doubt ring or call into the company the person is purporting to be from directly yourself.

"Do not use the number given to you by the caller. Make sure you hear a dial tone before making the call.

"If you are concerned that you may have fallen victim to a scam contact your local Garda Station or bank. For more crime prevention advice see"
