Funding of €130,000 sought to replace over 200 old public lights on Carlow national roads

The local authority is waiting to hear if the application has been granted

Funding of €130,000 has been sought by Carlow County Council to replace over 200 old public lights on two Carlow national roads.

The local authority submitted its bid for funding in the amount of €130,880 to "upgrade the remaining 211 public lights to LEDs on both the N80 and N81 through Carlow" under the National Public Lighting Assistance Programme. 

The Council has not yet been informed if their bid was successful.
