Temporary traffic restrictions

Carlow Municipal District has received funding under its road maintenance programme to carry out drainage works on the R725 Shillelagh Road on the Carlow side of Knocklow Bridge over the River Dereen.

These works are in advance of re-surfacing works scheduled for later this year.

The drainage works will commence on Thursday, March 28 for a period of three weeks between 8am and 4.30pm from Monday to Friday.

In the interests of safety it will be necessary to put temporary traffic controls in place consisting of traffic control lights.

Residential access will be maintained at all times.

Carlow County Council apologies for any inconvenience caused to residents and other road users because of the drainage works and will try to keep disruption to a minimum.
