Garda appeal after culprits break into Carlow school through window of principal's office

The burglars attempted to force the safe open but nothing was taken

Gardaí have issued an appeal after culprits broke into a Carlow school through the window of the principal's office.

The incident happened last Thursday, March 28 at Borris Vocational School between 1am and 1.30am. 

Two male culprits removed the window of the principal's office to gain entry and they attempted to force open a safe but they failed to do so and left the premises. 

Gardaí in Borris are investigating the incident and can be contacted on 059 977 3102.

Meanwhile, Gardaí have issued advice to all Carlow schools to ensure the premises are fully locked and alarmed every night. 

They also warned schools not to keep cash on the premises.
