Man charged in connection with burglaries where €2,000 worth of jewellery was stolen

A 29-year-old man has been charged in connection with two burglaries in Carlow recently. 

The male, who has Carlow connections, was arrested in Dublin last week in relation to a burglary that occurred at Barrowville on Tuesday, April 2.

He's also charged with the taking of a car from the same address which was later found in Dublin.

The male is charged with a further burglary that occurred on April 4 in College Gardens, Carlow. 

A total of €2,000 worth of jewellery was taken in that incident.

The man was remanded in Cloverhill Prison after appearing before Kilkenny District Court on Monday, April 8.

He's due to appear before Cloverhill District Court on April 26.
