Tinryland to get new pedestrian crossing after children's report on road safety in village

Tinryland is to get a new pedestrian crossing after a children's report on road safety in the village.

Cllr Jim Deane said: "I'm delighted to announce that Tinryland village will be getting a new pedestrian crossing following representations that I have made to Carlow County Council on behalf of the children, parents, residents and Tinryland National School.

"I'd like to commend the children from Tinryland National School for their fantastic report on road safety in the village and on the strength of this report, and representations that I have made on their behalf, the Council have agreed to locate a new pedestrian crossing in Tinryland village."
