Carlow County Council have issued a warning as its misused dog poo bins are causing "significant problems".
The dog poo bin at Green Road has been serviced following notification of the issue.
However, the Council have advised that this bin was only serviced last week and is one of ten placed around Carlow Town.
A spokesperson said: "Unfortunately ongoing misuse of these bins in terms of depositing of domestic rubbish and other litter is causing significant problems for the County Council as well as those dog walkers who care about their community and are making every effort to ensure that they deposit their dog waste in a responsible manner.
"If the issues continue, Carlow County Council will have no other option than to remove this much needed facillity."
