Calls have been made for Bye-Laws in Carlow to limit candidates to a maximum of 100 posters in Local Elections.

Councillors Ken Murnane, Jim Deane and Fergal Browne have tabled a motion for next week's full meeting of Carlow County Council.

The motion states: "That Carlow County Council put in place Bye-Laws to limit the number of posters used by candidates in Local Elections to a maximum of 100 posters per candidate."
