Gardaí have issued an appeal after the theft of an iPhone from the victim's hand on a busy Carlow street.
The incident occurred on Thursday last on Centaur Street in Carlow Town.
The victim, 21, reported an Apple iPhone was "taken from his hands" while he was on the street.
Gardaí are carrying out inquiries into the incident.
