Last straw for retiring garda as unsecured hay bale load is grounded

It was the last straw for a garda after 40 years in the force when he observed an unsecured load in Carlow on Tuesday.

Despite being in the final weeks of his 40 year career in An Garda Síochána, Garda Lawlor was on patrol in Carlow town when he observed this unsecured load of hay bales.

The vehicle was brought to nearby weigh bridge where it was grounded until the owner made other arrangements.
