In the battle for the final 2 seats at the Tullow LEA the 3 candidates are only separated by 2 votes now!

ELECTION LATEST: A second recount is set for the Tullow LEA

Brain O'Donoghue, Catherine Callaghan, and Jim Deane

Following the extremely tight voting numbers after the Tullow LEA 13th count where 3 candidates were only separated by 3 votes and was sent to a recount, the recount has been complete and now only 2 votes separate the 3 candidates who are after the final 2 seats on the Carlow Council.

The result from the 13th count:

Brian O'Donoghue - 895

Jim Deane - 893

Catherine Callaghan - 892

The results after the recount on Monday:

Brian O'Donoghue - 894

Jim Deane - 893

Catherine Callaghan - 892

Brian O'Donoghue lost 1 vote during the recount

A second recount is set for 10am tomorrow.
