A sleeping occupant of a Carlow home was rescued by Gardaí after smoke from a wheelie bin fire made its way into the house.
According to An Garda Síochána, gardaí were alerted to a report of wheelie bins on fire in the Riverview Close Estate on the Tullow Road, Carlow on Monday April 29.
The smoke from the burning wheelie bins had made its way into a house, necessitating responding Gardai to force entry to the home.
The house was filled with smoke and Gardaí removed one person who had been asleep upstairs.
This individual was treated at the scene by paramedics and didn’t require further medical treatment.
Carlow Gardai are appealing to anyone who may have seen anybody acting in s suspicious manner in the Riverview Close area shortly before 1am on Monday morning, or to anyone who may have CCTV, dashcam footage, to contact them on 9136620.
