Uisce Éireann seeking planning permission for new Wastewater Pumping Station in Carlow
Uisce Éireann has submitted a planning application to Carlow County Council for permission to build a new wastewater pumping station in Bagenalstown.
The application seeks to locate the development beside the Royal Oak Road in the townlands of Clorusk Upper and Moneybeg.
The development would consist of a new wastewater pumping station, two new kiosks, a 50m3 below-ground storage tank and a ground mounted solar PV array on a site of 0.04Ha. New palisade perimeter fencing and gates, each measuring 2.4 metres in height, are also included in the plans.

A new 100mm diameter rising main and 225mm gravity sewer on the R724 between the proposed pumping station and the Royal Oak Road is also listed in the plans.
To accommodate the development, the existing access road to the R724 would have to be widened and the existing boundary wall and gate demolished. Other ancillary works are also included.
Carlow County Council are due to make their decision on the application by 14 May.
