Plans have been revealed for the development of a new housing estate in County Carlow.
A planning application has been submitted for the construction of 87 new housing units at an address of Ashfield, Royal Oak Road, Bagenalstown.
The development would consist of 48 semi-detached houses, seven terraced houses and 32 apartments.
It is understood that the semi-detached houses would be four-bedroom and two-bedroom units, whilst the apartments would be two-bedroom and one-bedroom units.
Works would also be carried out to develop surrounding roads and footpaths and to install streetlights.

As well as that, a number of associated site works would be undertaken, including connections to existing public sewerage and water mains.
The application was submitted by MESD Ventures Ltd on April 2. A decision by Carlow County Council is expected by May 27.
