Man aged in his sixties pronounced dead at scene of fatal workplace incident in Carlow
Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to a fatal workplace incident at a premises in Newtown, Co. Carlow.
A male (aged in his 60s) was discovered at approximately 7:30am this morning, Thursday 23rd November 2023. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
His body was taken to the mortuary at University Hospital Waterford where a post-mortem will take place in due course.
The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) has been notified in respect of this incident and are currently carrying out an investigation.
A file will be prepared for the Coroner.
