More than four-hundred businesses in Carlow benefitted from the Energy Support Scheme

The Temporary Business Energy Support Scheme (TBESS) was introduced at the start of this year to support businesses dealing with increases in their energy costs which arose from the Russian invasion of Ukraine. 

The scheme is now closed with the final deadline for eligible businesses to submit claims for relief on Saturday, 30th September 2023. 

Over €140 million has been paid out to 31,044 businesses across the country.

Four-hundred-and-thirty-eight businesses in Carlow successfully applied for inclusion under the scheme, valuing a total of €2,013,857.
