A safety issue has been identified with a paddling pool sold online to Irish customers.
According to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), the risk presented by the Bestway Paddling pool sold on Amazon is chemical in nature.
The plastic material of the product reportedly has an excessive concentration of phthalates, which may harm the health of children by causing possible damage to the reproductive system.
The ASIN number of the product is B002CIKZ12. The batch number, barcode and model are unknown.
The product was sold online through the Amazon platform, with approximately 204 of these products sold in Ireland.
If you purchased one of these products, please discontinue use immediately, discard the product and keep it out of the reach of children.
You may wish to contact Amazon to see if there are any remedies available to you, which can be done via your user account on Amazon.
