WhatsApp crashed for upwards of 10,000 people in Ireland on July 19 but the company says its fixed the problem.
According to Downdetector.ie, 10,887 outages were reported by people in Ireland at approximately 9pm, with 57% of users reporting the app's failure to send messages.
Thirty percent reported an issue with server connection, with another 10% reporting a general app problem.
Outages were also reported by people in other countries including Pakistan and India.

WhatsApp addressed the problem on Twitter at 9.44pm, stating, "We’re working quickly to resolve connectivity issues with WhatsApp and we’ll update you here as soon as possible."
The connectivity problem was resolved just after 10pm, with WhatsApp confirming same by tweeting: "And we're back, happy chatting!"
